Filter Media Analysis & Site Diagnostics

At Industec, we combine expert on-site service with detailed laboratory analysis to deliver a complete understanding of your filtration system’s performance. Whether assessing filter issues in the field or conducting scheduled maintenance, our goal is to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency.

When required, used or underperforming filter media can be shipped to our laboratory for in-depth analysis. This service supports root cause investigations, lifecycle assessments, and continuous improvement strategies. Results are communicated in clear, technical reports that help inform operational decisions and maintenance planning.

Our service includes:

  • On-site assessment and troubleshooting of filter performance

  • Coordination of filter media removal and lab submission

  • Comprehensive condition reports including fibre composition, strength, and air permeability

  • Polymer testing (DSC) and high-resolution imaging to identify degradation or contamination

  • Recommendations for system improvements or replacement schedules

Laboratory Capabilities:

We provide a range of specialised testing and investigative services.

We conduct optical examinations of filter bags and detailed investigations into damage patterns, supported by air permeability and regeneration testing. Mechanical and chemical properties of textiles can be assessed, including pH analysis, while microscopic and high-resolution examinations allow us to study fibre construction and surface treatments in detail. In addition, we carry out DSC testing to evaluate polymer and fibre properties, as well as VDI testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
